July XForce Global Motorsport Wrap

SUPERCARS CHAMPIONSHIP

Following an action-packed weekend of racing at the Townsville 400, Virgin Supercars Championship Drivers headed to Queensland Raceway for the Coates Hire Ipswich SuperSprint.

XForce sponsored team Tekno Autosports maintains a strong position in the Championship running in 6th place, however driver Will Davison endured one of his toughest weekends to bring the #19 Holden VF Commodore home in P7 and P17 respectively on Saturday and Sunday’s races.

This July also saw a new formed partnership between XForce and the Super Black Racing Team as part of a major campaign rolling out this month in both Australia and New Zealand for our unique and innovative VAREX muffler system.

The #111 FGX Ford Falcon team worked hard throughout the weekend to produce a fast car for Kiwi driver Chris Pither who delivered the team’s first pole position on Saturday afternoon. Saturday’s race was full of its normal rough and tumble and Pither crossed the chequered flag in 11th place.

After qualifying P9 on Sunday Chris Pither guided the #111 car home with a solid drive to finish P8 in his 50th race in Supercars.

The solid top-10 weekend was a heartfelt tribute Super Black Racing team owner, Tony Lentino who passed away on Monday following a short battle with cancer.

“Tony was passionate about lots of things in life and while he toughed it out when he was young to establish himself as a very successful businessman, he never forgot where he came from and giving young people a chance, especially Kiwis, was central to the creation of the Super Black Racing team.

“Tony loved nothing more than taking it to the Aussies and having a Supercars team was a great way to mix his passion for his country with his love of motorsport.

“We will race on in memory of Tony but for now our thoughts and support are fully with the young family he so sadly leaves behind.” said Greg Hahn of Super Black Racing.

V8 UTES RACING SERIES

XFORCE is the Official Exhaust Supplier for the Australian V8 Ute Racing Series, and all Holden and Ford race utes hit the grid at Townsville fitted with a custom twin 3″ cat-back XFORCE performance exhaust systems.

Mr ‘Sideways’ himself, David Sieders, has extended his V8 Utes Racing Series lead after taking out the final heat of the Castrol EDGE Townsville 400.

Making the most of his front row start, the Mango Credit Commodore pilot achieved a lights-to-flag finish after 11 laps of hard racing.

The win didn’t come easy though, with Craig Dontas initially overtaking Sieders on the front straight, only to surrender his position at turn 1, before continuing to pile on the pressure throughout the entire race.

“It was great to extend the lead in the championship, and also a bonus that I was joined on the podium by my teammate Craig Dontas,” Sieders said.

“This makes us back-to-back Townsville V8 Ute round winners, so overall it was a pretty good day for the Sieders Racing Team.”

TOYOTA 86 RACING SERIES

Team X-Force USA driver Trent Grubel has earned himself a seat in this year’s 2016 Toyota 86 Racing Series making his debut at the first round of the season at Winton Motor Raceway in Melbourne, Australia. Grubel showed great speed in practice sessions posting the second fastest time but later ran into issues in qualifying with an ABS failure.

The X-FORCE USA Toyota 86 started off the 6th row for Race 1 but was unfortunately hit hard by another car resulting in steering damage, resulting in a DNF.

Starting from the back of the pack in Race 2 (P37), Grubel was able to pass an incredible 13 cars throughout the race to come across the chequered flag in P24.

The T86RS heads to Sydney Motorsport Park for round 2 of the Championship on August 26-28.

Cleaning your Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips or Tailpipes

Cleaning your Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips or Tailpipes

How do I clean my stainless steel tailpipes without scratching or damaging them?

All of our muffler tips (or tail pipes) are made of high quality 304 grade stainless steel. Not like the rest of the system, the tips (or (tail pipes) are located furthest away from the engine, and are not exposed to extreme temperate. Muffler tips can remain shiny for most of the product’s life.

However, if they are not cleaned often, heat, tar and road grime can build up over time and will make the muffler tip much harder to clean than a well maintained one.

There are many products which are suitable for cleaning your exhaust system and tailpipes. Use a sponge to scrub the system with regular vehicle wash to remove the majority of the soot.

Once clean you can either use Car Polish or silver polish to bring it back to a shiny new standard and keeping your XForce system looking its best!

XForce to back Supercars Super Black Racing Team

XForce to back Supercars Super Black Racing Team

XForce Performance Exhaust is proud to announce our support for the #111 FG X Falcon entry from Super Black Racing starting at the next round of the Supercar series at Townsville this coming weekend and for the remainder of the 2016 season at least.

Our brand will feature on the Headlights of the Prodrive run car and on the rear wing as part of a major campaign rolling out this week in both Australia and New Zealand for our products, which includes the unique and innovative VAREX system which allows a driver to vary the performance and sound of the exhaust system from a street application to a race application and everything in between using a simple, small, hand-held control unit.

“We’ve always been a bit of a dark horse in our industry, emerging as a front runner to become a leader of the pack and we definitely see synergies there with Super Black Racing,” explained General Manager of XForce Performance Exhausts Tom Wallace.

“We definitely believe that involvement in the highest level of motorsport in Australasia is an effective way to develop the profile of our brand and obviously being part of a Kiwi team when we are working hard to develop a much larger place in the domestic New Zealand market makes a lot of sense.

“The Super Black team and the drivers are highly regarded and of course we have a very significant range of products that are suitable for Fords, so a tie up makes a lot of sense and we are very excited about the rest of the season and beyond.”

Super Black will add value to the sponsorship agreement not only through domestic profile, but also by helping XForce with New Zealand networking, and the team was delighted to secure their backing.

“XForce is a very welcome addition to our portfolio of sponsors,” explained Super Black Racing Manager Greg Hahn.

“We love the fact that they are a little different from their competitors – pushing the boundaries of product design and innovation and taking their marketplace to new extremes. It’s always good to be involved with a group of people of that mind set and we are certain their involvement in the team will help them not only consolidate their current position, but will also give them a competitive advantage in their current Australian and New Zealand marketing campaigns.”

Number one driver Chris Pither has now found his pace and is moving forward in the championship, with eight events still to run including the three big enduro events where he will be partnered by fellow Kiwi racer Richie Stanaway.
